The Ouachita Children’s Coalition’s mission is to provide vulnerable children affected by abuse, neglect, or other types of trauma services of support. We have an incredible team that boasts decades of combined industry experience to ensure a seamless process for children and families alike. Our unique makeup of professionals ensures timely and efficient service offerings in accordance with all applicable laws and regulations. Meet our incredible team below and learn about their passions and experience.

  • Cynthia Martin

    Executive Director
    Cynthia spent many years as a stay-at-home mother and caregiver for her own mother. In 2005, she began volunteering with Child Advocates of Fort Bend Country, where she discovered her passion for helping abused and neglected children. After moving to Mena in 2006, she continued her work with CASA of the Ouachita Region, becoming Assistant Director in 2007 and Executive Director in 2008. In 2023, she led the effort to establish a Children’s Advocacy Center in Mena, transitioning the organization to the Ouachita Children’s Coalition and opening the Ouachita Child Safety Center on July 1, 2024. Cynthia enjoys time with her husband, three children, four grandchildren, and loves country walks, reading, and traveling

  • Tami Broadway

    Forensic Interview Specialist
    Tami began her career in Child Protection Services in 1990 in Arkansas, after graduating with a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology at NSU of Louisiana. She spent several years working as an investigator and caseworker before becoming a supervisor in 2016. She retired in 2021, but after a few years of traveling, she was thrilled to have the opportunity to serve children again as a forensic interviewer at OCSC. Tami is a busy grandmother and an avid knitter.

  • Tandi Brumley

    Forensic Interview Specialist
    Tandi holds a Bachelor's Degree in Criminology with a minor in Sociology from Arkansas Tech University. Her professional journey includes a decade as Engineering Coordinator for the City of Fayetteville, followed by roles as a Program Eligibility Specialist with Johnson County DHS and later Polk County DHS. In 2024, she joined the team to follow her dream of best serving the region's children as a Forensic Interview Specialist. When she isn't serving the region's children, she is with her dog, Snuffy, the most recent and loved addition to her family.

  • Yuliza Aguirre

    Family Advocate / Forensic Interview Specialist Yuliza began her career in the child abuse field as the Volunteer Coordinator for CASA of the Ouachita Region, before the organization grew into the Ouachita Children’s Coalition. She later worked in several other fields but always felt called to return to helping abused and neglected children. Before returning to the OCC, she served as a forensic interviewer at a Child Advocacy Center in Idabel, Oklahoma, ensuring that vulnerable children could share their experiences in a safe and supportive environment. Outside of work, Yuliza enjoys spending time with her family, cooking, being outdoors, and listening to audiobooks.
