The Ouachita Children’s Coalition brings together two organizations dedicated to the well-being of Arkansas’ children.

The mission of the Ouachita Children’s Coalition, through the collaboration of CASA of the Ouachita Region and the Ouachita Child Safety Center, is to establish a safe and nurturing environment to educate, empower, and encourage survivors of child abuse and neglect.

With trained professionals and volunteers, we will advocate for the rights and well-being of children, ensuring their voices are heard and their needs are met, while instilling a path to stability for their future.

CASA of the Ouachita Region

Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA) volunteers are specially trained community members appointed by a judge to advocate for the best interests of a child in the foster care system.

CASA volunteers conduct thorough investigations, build relationships with the child, their family, and professionals involved with the case, and make recommendations to the court regarding the child's placement and well-being. They serve as a consistent voice for the child throughout the court process, ensuring their needs are met and their voice is heard.
